Dennings was in a relationship with Nick Zano from 2011-2014, she was her co-star on "2 Broke Girls". She started dating Josh Groban after their breakup. They were together until the year 2016. Then, in early 2021, they met the singer Andrew W.K. In the course of a few months they began dating and, in the month of May 2020, they announced their engagement. Dennings, a musician fan from 2014, is Dennings' first love. Dennings was Jewish however she has stated she does not consider religion to be an integral part of her life. Painting, gardening, and reading are some of her hobbies. When she was a child, her original plan to attend an art college was stopped when a flood destroyed all of her artwork. This was the moment she took this flood as a warning, which led her to becoming an actor instead. She does not drink or smoke, and she is a fan of Transcendental Meditation.
