Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd won her next fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her formidable grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via third-round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen continued to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen won and beat Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina as she ground-and-pound pounded her for an TKO victory in the 2nd round. She continued to dominate and got a bigger win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and was awarded a prize for her performance during the evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first big fight. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was lost by majority vote.
